As you know the Ranger A Class of Year 13 rapped up a few weeks ago.
This news comes with some current sadness, the Top Cadet for A Class was Fesst Dizben. Ensign Dizben scored a 90 on the test, and graduated with honor. There is sadness though as his comms have fallen silent. His ship was last reported in the vicinity of the Maw.
We do not know what lured Ensign Dizben to that area. The Maw is the most treacherous reach of space known in the galaxy. We hope that it is only a communications error, and that he is still with us. Ranger One is requesting volunteers for a dangerous mission in the Job boards. May his eagerness to serve be an example to all Rangers. Though technical problems had prevented him being active for a couple months prior to these events, he was always eager and ready. May the Force be with him!

Year 13 Day 198, 5:09: Message from Arch Terkan
Arch Terkan here,
reporting from The BFF-1 Bulk Freighter Antarian Construction ID# 246991. I believed I have pieced the puzzle together as best as possible. From interviewing the crew it appears you have a few heroes on board this vessel. At the last minute they realized what Fesst Dizben was attempting to do, fly into a black hole and kill everyone on board. The crew and passengers rose up and broke through to the cockpit and managed to save the ship as it was starting to tear apart. Fesst Dizben was not relinquishing control voluntarily so unfortunately extreme measures had to be taken and I am sorry to report but he did not survive. His corpse has been preserved in the chiller and you can remove it when you return this ship back home, however I do not think you will need a full autopsy the cause of death is pretty clear. The crew had to do what was necessary to save the ship and their own lives and the 36 passengers. They also report that their navigation system was damaged in the ensuing chaos and they dared not fly any direction for fear of destroying themselves. I used my ship's charts to reboot the system and now we are out of the danger of the Maw and a few minutes away from the rendezvous point. This concludes my report on the matter, for a more detailed insight you will need to inspect the ship logs and security footage and interview all of the crew and 36 passengers.

I'd like to end on a lighter note, the first cadet to graduate the Ranger Class B Year 13 was Vanr Imiralis.
It is remarkable in that Vanr is the first person since I took the office of Chancellor of the Academy to score a perfect score on the Final Exam.
We wish him well, and note that he sets a high bar for future graduates. We hope he will serve well and diligent.

Greetings fellow Engineers, I am pleased to report that things are moving again. I know it had been a slow spring with the bottleneck of materials.
Recently though we were able to get some materials enabling us to start several projects that had long been delayed.
I myself am concentrating on the construction of our cities. Production City 2 is now under construction.
Possibly misnamed at this point it will add 1 new factory to our production capabilities. However far more important is the fact it will be the home of the Daktal Hearst Vehicle Research Centre, named in honor of our leader.
Though the facility will not be ready for almost 45 days it will be a state of the art R&D center, the first the Rangers have built to my knowledge. It is located along the ocean where it can help create naval vessels as well as our ground and air vehicles. We look forward to this arriving in the later part of the year.
President Hearst is working on getting some Kettrifees running for one of Ranger One's orders. Lueving is working on starting a series of different vehicle orders including a new run of bongo subs, some 008 Heavy Airspeeders, some MTV-7s and V-00 Rovers.
Aidenolm is currently en route to Xo III to help out too to pick up X-34 materials to get them going.
I'm hoping more materials will be released to us soon, and that we can begin to rebuild even greater than we were before the Black Sun struck us.
We hope to see all of you and if you want to help out just shoot me a dark mail and we'll get a ship and work assigned.
The Antarian Rangers - Unique in their own
A group of veterans was planning on joining The Antarian Rangers, until they got wind that they wouldn't be paid a big deal of money.
After making an issue of the fact that money wasn't an option, they up and bailed.
This is the speech TAR high-ranking member Stryder Mordae gave the very same day.
Tonight I was supposed to bring you good news, but instead I am reminded of why the Rangers appeal to me.
"My fellow Rangers, today for me defines why we are Rangers, and why we stand out from other groups. What defines a Ranger? Is it moral standing, choosing to aid a fellow Ranger because it is right, and not for personal gains. Some of the Rangers before me remember the traitor Jormungand Gand, or was even friends with Gand. And those know the suffering and the pain it is when a friend sells out not only you, but everything you stand for.
Is it the selfless sacrifice each of us give? I for one have given up many job positions. Pirating with Eidola, I've being asked to be a shadow vigo by more then one Black Sun member. Or I could have been a mercenary and even a military commander. And I know some of us here have given up even more to remain in the Antarian Rangers.
Perhaps it is that we fight a fight no one dares or has guts to undertake. Because for us it is for survival, not personal glory. Yesterday I was excited, my hopes where high and our future can be seen on the horizon. Several key veterans from the Republic had agreed to come to our aid. But only when faced with the solemn truth that our way of life is too hard for the immediate pay. Some of the Republics finest members would not even dare to live the life of a Ranger.
In light of this it is clear to me what defines a Ranger, to me. It is one that will stand against the odds when others can't. I plan to amend this meaning and make add "and thrive."
